Work with us

Whitten & Proctor is building the leading paintings conservation practice in the region — a studio with museum lineage, long relationships with major institutions and collectors, and room to grow. We are always glad to meet conservators, conservation technicians, and registrars who care about this work.

Open Positions

There are no posted openings at this time — but the studio is growing, and we expect to hire. Positions are announced here and through professional channels as they open; the strongest hires often begin as an introduction, so there is no need to wait for a posting.

The studio is in Houston, Texas. Conservation work is hands-on and performed on site at 1236 Studewood St.

Do you offer internships or pre-program hours?

Not at present — a supervised internship deserves conservator time we currently devote to treatment. When that changes, positions will be announced on this page.

I’m a conservator in another specialty. Should I still reach out?

Yes. The studio’s long-term direction includes disciplines beyond paintings, and we would rather know you before we need you.

Introduce Yourself

PDF preferred. Portfolios and treatment documentation are welcome.

We keep introductions on file and contact you when a relevant role opens. Your information is never shared outside the studio. See our privacy note.
